Our Research Process

For every "Best Of" guide on PickGlobe, we follow the same 4-step process:

Survey Amazon.ca by review rank: We query Amazon.ca for each product category, sorting by verified customer review count — the most honest signal of real-world performance from Canadian buyers.
Apply minimum quality thresholds: We only consider products with a 4.0+ star average rating and a meaningful volume of Canadian reviews. This automatically filters out new, untested, or low-quality products.
Apply editorial criteria: Beyond star ratings, we evaluate price-to-value ratio, review recency (are the reviews current?), review authenticity signals, category-specific requirements (e.g., capacity for kitchen appliances, battery life for electronics), and Prime eligibility.
Verify all pricing in CAD: All prices are sourced directly from Amazon.ca — never converted from USD. Every price shown was accurate at the time of research. We note the scrape date on every article, and refresh data regularly.

Minimum 4.0 stars on Amazon.ca. We weight ratings with higher review counts more heavily.

📦 Availability

We only recommend products currently available on Amazon.ca with Prime delivery where possible.

🔄 Recency

We check that reviews are current, not from years ago. Older reviews may not reflect current product quality.

We consider Canadian-specific factors: voltage compatibility, warranty coverage in Canada, and CAD pricing.
